Steel Grip signs with Six Feet Up for Plone + eCommerce

November 25, 2013

Steel Grip, Inc manufactures personal protective clothing for domestic and international applications. Headquartered in Danville, Illinois, with many years of experience, business is conducted through distribution in all 50 states, and internationally.

With over 3,000 safety products offered to serve and protect employees in a variety of work environments, Steel Grip, Inc has hired Six Feet Up to overhaul their existing Ruby site and deploy Plone to integrate an eCommerce web-based solution in efforts to facilitate the growth of their products, company and clients.

After completion of a Development Discovery & Analysis phase this summer, Six Feet Up is currently working on the architecture and integration of Plone 4.2 and an eCommerce solution. It will also have enhanced search utilizing SolrIndex. Six Feet Up is also coordinating with the design team after creating functional wireframes for Steel Grip's brand new look & feel.

The new eCommerce site is scheduled to be up and running in Six Feet Up's robust hosting infrastructure by the end of the year. Steel Grip has been a client since 2007 and utilizes Six Feet Up's Plone Development and Plone Hosting services.
