Six Feet Up Adds VP of Strategic Growth

August 2, 2022

Darcy Lee has joined Six Feet Up’s leadership team as VP of Strategic Growth & Partnerships. The goal of the new position is to help Six Feet Up find projects that will help the company achieve its goal of completing 10 IMPACTFUL projects — projects defined as impressive, purposeful and transformative — by 2025.

“I love technology, helping people, making the world a better place and building meaningful relationships,” said Darcy. “As the VP of Strategic Growth & Partnerships, my focus will be on connecting with innovative tech leaders and developing partnerships that enable collective success. Six Feet Up has done a wonderful job supporting and growing technical communities. My role will be to take Six Feet Up’s existing outreach model and apply it to organizations doing IMPACTFUL work.”

Darcy is an active emeritus on the Women & Hi Tech Board of Directors, where she also previously served as board president. She is also actively involved with technology, community, and philanthropic organizations, such as:

Darcy’s experience in building business relationships has been an asset in helping Women & Hi Tech members and sponsors connect with one another, and it’s something that Six Feet Up’s leadership thinks will benefit the company going forward.

“We are thrilled to see Darcy join the team and apply her energy toward helping us reach our 10-Year Goal,” said Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up’s co-founder and CEO. “Her experience and enthusiasm are a perfect match, and we are excited to complete more IMPACTFUL projects with her help.”

As of today, Six Feet Up has had the privilege to work on five IMPACTFUL projects — ranging from space exploration to lightning strike predictions, forest fire management, genetic engineering and battery energy storage. The company is well on its way to achieving this goal.

Darcy graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with undergraduate degrees in Cognitive Science and Psychology. Darcy has served in a variety of roles, including account executive, marketing director, director of accounts and business development, director of sales, and most recently as the chief operations officer of an IT Managed Services Provider. Her client experience ranges from serving startups and nonprofits to Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies.

Darcy holds certifications in ITIL Foundations and Agency Account Management. She leverages her collective experience in sales, marketing, customer success, project management and strategic planning to lead organizational growth and to build and nurture meaningful relationships. She promotes a culture of equality and inclusion and believes in elevating marginalized groups in STEM fields, especially women in technology.
