During the September 2021 edition of IndyAWS, Indiana’s fastest growing cloud meetup founded in 2017 by Six Feet Up CTO and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Community Hero Calvin Hendryx-Parker, the audience learned about “Building Modern Mobile Apps with AWS Amplify.”

Speaker Kyle Lee, a Senior Developer Advocate at AWS Amplify, discussed the benefits of using AWS Amplify to handle common modern mobile app issues such as:

  • accessing mobile apps without Wi-Fi or data,
  • implementing real-time information and communication with users,
  • reducing front- and back-end load time for users, and
  • ensuring user security with simple authentication and database storage.
