The Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME) has asked Six Feet Up to spec out and implement a data import automation process. The data is to be gathered by RSS or OAI-PMH or by uploads of XML or CSV data. It will then run through a process of validation and reporting and then be reviewed before publishing to the ISKME website. The project includes a mapping system preventing duplicates or missing critical data. Six Feet Up will be using standards like UUIDs and URIs for global identification of the resources and developing an easy to use front end to ease the clients upload process.
