Passport to Hi-Tech

Passport to Hi-Tech, at Conner Prairie, teaches girls ages 7-12 about careers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. At Passport to Hi-Tech, girls will interact with exhibits and perform experiments related to STEM fields, as well as meet female experts and professionals excelling in STEM careers.

Six Feet Up is proud to partner with Eleven Fifty Academy in providing equipment and key contributions in developing the curriculum for the Raspberry Pi lab at Passport to Hi-Tech. Over the past few weeks, Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up CTO and Eleven Fifty Academy's official Python and Django teaching partner, has ordered 17 Raspberry Pis, keyboards, monitors, microphones and mice, to get a quick and fun coding experience in front of the girls.

Passport to Hi-Tech participants will program a quick game in Scratch, which is pre-installed on Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi's and the accompanying curriculum will be able to be used in future Eleven Fifty Academy events.
