Automation should do something useful, such as replace a tedious task or collect meaningful information. Though, if the effort expended to implement the system is greater than the benefit, it should no longer be considered useful automation. This has not stopped me and nor should it you. To demonstrate this concept, we will peruse several 'quick hacks' I've implemented to automate my life.
