IndyAWS Meetup: Log Taming

This month, IndyAWS' guest speaker is Mark Baltzegar presenting "Log Taming with Amazon S3, Glue, Athena, and QuickSight"

Talk Abstract:

Using Amazon S3 as the underlying data store, Mark will walk through a scalable, durable and easy to manage analytics pipeline for gaining insights from historical log data. He’ll show how to leverage Amazon Glue to simplify data preparation and maintenance. Next, he’ll demonstrate using standard SQL with Athena for interactive analytical queries over distributed data. Finally, Mark will present Amazon’s QuickSight Business Intelligence tool for fast, interactive exploration and visualization. Attendees will learn how to get up and running quickly while saving money and avoiding pitfalls along the way.
