Fast-growing web application development firm strengthens resources, increases staff

FORTVILLE, Ind., JANUARY 21, 2013 – Six Feet Up, a privately held company that develops, hosts, and supports sophisticated enterprise content management and collaborative intranet projects, has hired Jim Bartek as the director of marketing. Bartek will develop the firm's marketing strategy, new product and service portfolio, and overall customer experience desired by clients that require open source enterprise-grade web applications and intranets.

 

“Six Feet Up has seen rapid growth since 2008, with more demand for Plone and other Python-based enterprise web applications” said Six Feet Up CEO, Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker. “Jim brings a wealth of experience in growing small businesses particularly through marketing and sales strategy to the team. This combined with our other recruiting efforts in 2013 will allow us to serve more clients and offer new scalable and secure web solutions.”

 

Previously Bartek was the director of the Purdue Technology Center of Indianapolis, where he advised entrepreneurs on startup and growth strategies especially in the areas of fundraising, digital marketing, and business planning. While at the Purdue Research Foundation, Bartek advised more than 25 companies, and assisted hundreds of people formulate new business ideas as an organizer and facilitator of Startup Weekend Indianapolis. Bartek also helped found the Hoosier Healthcare Innovation Challenge, and has been named a finalist in Indy's Best & Brightest the past two years in the technology category. Prior to that, Bartek was the co-founder and director of marketing and sales for a science animation and simulation company, Seyet, for seven years. He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor of science degree in computer graphics technology.
