I'm getting funny characters or code in my text field. What is wrong?

If you copied from a Word document and pasted the text into Plone, you will sometimes inherit some odd characters. The best way to avoid this is to type your text directly into Plone, and then apply formatting using your WYSIWYG editor. If you prefer writing your text elsewhere and then copying it into Plone, make sure you write it in plain text. You can use a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit.
