The custom landing page for each parent and subsite uses the Plone add-on EasySlideShow to manage slideshows that feature image captions, descriptions, bulleted navigation and links to related content. One convenient feature of EasySlideShow is to feature a dropdown menu to select the type of transition between slides.
The homepage displays a dynamic slideshow, which utilizes collective.easyslideshow, an open source product developed by Six Feet Up. Easyslideshow allows users to upload photos to a regular folder in Plone and change the folder display to a slideshow view.
The new design for the Amtrak History site called for an interactive slideshow presenting images with rich text and multiple links to site content. Six Feet Up made this possible by extending the popular Plone slideshow product, EasySlideshow, and using it to manage the display of links and buttons in the slides.
Through the use of collective.easyslideshow and embedly, SFARI.org offers a variety of rich media elements, such as embedded videos and slideshows, to showcase important content in an accessible format. SFARI can easily add these rich media items to any page on the site, creating a richer site experience for their users.
The newly-designed homepage for UVA Health Systems features a promotional area allowing their marketing staff to easily advertise specific services via either a static image or a slideshow. Thanks to Six Feet Up's EasySlideshow, each image and description can be linked to another area of the site or to an external URL. With EasySlideshow, marketeers can add and remove images and stories from the homepage with ease and speed.
Six Feet Up customized its own product EasySlideshow to allow Indiana Historical Society to create beautiful slideshows for their site.
EasySlideshow is simple to use: just create a Folder and add an image to that folder. The items in that folder will be presented as a slideshow.
