Project Outline:
The Center for Galapagos Studies is a partnership between University of North Carolina and Universidad San Francisco de Quito. The partnership between these two universities focuses on research, education, and outreach programs to teach the world about the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador.
CGS contacted Six Feet Up to help implement a Plone site and develop a Plone theme. This website provides details on the ongoing research, education, and outreach
activities that are part of this initiative. This website also
provides a way for faculty and student researchers and collaborating
scientists to share information through a password-protected "intranet" section.
The CGS website features a slideshow on the homepage, implemented using collective.easyslideshow. The homepage also features a news portlet that displays the image contained on the news item in the portlet.
The CGS website is a great examples of a clean and simple skin implemented in Plone 3.
