Duke Clinical Research Institute
Duke Clinical Research Institue upgrades Plone based Intranet and adds new features.
Project Outline:
The Duke Clinical Research Institute was looking to upgrade their existing Plone based intranet and expand on the functionality. With the help of Six Feet Up, DCRI's team was able to launch a new 3.x based Plone intranet site.
The new Duke Clinical Research Institute intranet features a main intranet site, or Hub, with multiple sub-sites. There is a sub-site for each clinical trial that DCRI hosts. The hub and the sub-sites share information across portals, including news items, calendar items, staff directory search, and more.
The system developed by Six Feet Up features the ability for DCRI staff to switch skins for sub-sites by simply selecting the desired skin from a drop down menu. Both the hub and sub-sites features a unique custom content layout feature where site administrators can add and arrange different portlets to appear in the main body of the page.
