What you need to do to start an account with Six Feet Up.
Moving to a new host can be a daunting challenge. We here at Six Feet Up strive to make this transition as easy as possible for you. This page is designed to help you get the process started. Please remember that at any point, you can send an email to Support@SixFeetUp.com with any questions or concerns you may have and we'll give you the individual attention you need as quickly as is possible.
The first thing you'll need to do is figure out which package you'd like to sign up for. Our offerings range from ideal for a small Ruby on Rails site to ideal for a heavily trafficked Plone site. If you need more resources than we can offer with our dedicated instance hosting, fear not. We have dedicated servers available to fit your specific needs too.
Once you know what hosting package you'd like to sign up for, the next step is to figure out if you would like to have your email hosted with us as well. We also offer a range of packages for email. All plans include anti-virus and advanced spam filtering. Storage per mail box ranges from 25MB to 1GB. Whatever your needs are, you're sure to find a plan to fit.
Now that your hosting and email are taken care of, what about all those extras? We offer a variety of different services to answer specific needs you may have. We can help you register or renew a domain. We can implement statistics tracking on your site so that you know how much traffic you're getting and from where. We can also add a MySQL database or a SSL certificate to your site. Didn't see a service here that you'd like to add? Contact us with your specific needs and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Once you know what you'd like to sign up for, the next step is to contact us and give us the details. In your email to us, please include the list of services that you'd like to sign up for. We'll also need to know what URL you'd like to host with us. Please include any applicable information you might have such as whether or not you need us to host your DNS, whether you currently own that domain or not, and any other miscellaneous notes that you feel may help smooth the transition.
We will need to set up billing before we can get started on delivering any services to you. Head on over to our online payment center to set up your billing information before we get started to ensure that your services are set up as soon as possible. Otherwise, once you submit your requested services, we'll have to ask that your billing be set up before we can continue. Either way is fine, just know that it may cause a delay in setting up your services if you wait to set up your billing information.
