Six Feet Up's Disaster Recovery services allows you to resume hosting services quickly without data loss and a large disruption to your hosting services.
Most people tend to be optimists and feel that a disaster will never happen to them, so they do not plan for the worst. Others plan for the worst by making a local backup of their website once per week. This is great for data loss emergencies and highly recommended, but what if the server starts on fire? How do you quickly get that data from your desk top to a new hosting environment? Six Feet Up's Disaster Recovery Plan and Services will get your hosting back on line within hours, not days.
If a disaster does happen to you, Six Feet Up will help you assess the situation and get your website back online. With real-time data on your disaster recovery server hosted at our secure Disaster Recovery Data Center, we can make changes to the hosting infrastructure and have your website available again in no time.
Six Feet Up utilizes ZFS based storage arrays to create a private storage cloud that our clients utilize for disaster recovery. ZFS is a combined file system and logical volume manager that has the ability to store 340 quadrillion zettabytes.
The production storage cloud consist of multiple arrays replicating to each other for online storage of critical business data. This data is then replicated to the Six Feet Up Disaster Recovery Data Center private storage cloud. In the event of a full failure of the primary location, the DNS for the site would be redirected to the disaster recovery application server to host the site. Once your website is available to the public, Six Feet Up will work with you to repair your primary hosting environment.
Six Feet Up's Disaster Recovery services offer the peace of mind that comes with knowing what to do if a disaster were to happen in your hosting infrastructure. Having a plan is the biggest part of the battle, having a partner like Six Feet Up to help you implement that plan is invaluable.
