KMS Development
While a CMS is a system that allows contributors to manage information (defined as factual data that does not necessarily engage consumers) a knowledge management product aims at managing content, content interpretation, and relationships (e.g. “Fred also worked on these projects...”). KMS are by nature highly collaborative and participative.
KARL is an enterprise-level Knowledge Management Solution that enables collaboration between members and affiliates. Developed by the Open Society Foundations (OSF), it was first introduced to the market in 2008, and is used by many international organizations, such as Oxfam GB, and OSF.
Six Feet Up provides development, hosting and support services for the Open Society Foundations, as well as other distributed organizations. For more information on how Six Feet Up can help you with deploying a KMS in your organization, please email sales@sixfeetup.com.
