Plone/Zope Performance Analysis

Six Feet Up is leveraging their experience in developing and hosting high traffic Plone websites to provide assistance with analyzing existing systems performances. The evaluation process can either focus on a specific topic such as code performance, or encompass all three reviews of code development, caching settings and system setup.

Each analysis assignment will start with the collect of relevant data and lead to the identification of the causes of potential problems. The last phase is dedicated to the recommendation of various optimization steps that could reduce hosting costs, increase response time, decrease the possibility of an outage and facilitate further site enhancements and/or migrations.

Code Review

• Profiling of page templates and python code, including third-party products

Caching Review

• Evaluation of caching settings:
• Review of squid/ varnish configuration
  
• Review of Plone caching configuration (e.g. cachefu, RAM cache settings, etc.)
  
• Review of performance by running benchmarking
  
• Log analysis
  
• Development of a detailed report with recommended optimizations
