Six Feet Up High Availability Article Published in BSD Magazine

Six Feet Up's Systems Administrator Lars R. Noldan received a special request from BSD Magazine to write the featured article for the November issue.  In the article titled Speed Daemons, Noldan discusses using advanced network mechanisms (CARP and ifstated) in FreeBSD to build a high-performance web application server.

Noldan presented on this very topic at BSDCan in March 2011 and was immediately tapped by Matt Olander from iXsystems to write an accompanying piece to the presentation for their worldwide readership. "These technologies are exciting because they provide an open source and affordable solution for high availability hosting when comparable proprietary solutions can cost tens of thousands of dollars," says Noldan.
