As a web consulting company using and developing open source technologies, Six Feet Up actively participates in open source community events and user groups. This last week, many of Six Feet Up's employees participated in IndyPy
, a local Python user group.
At this month's event, Steven Githens
, an IndyPy member, presented on "Grinder
," an open-source load and verification testing package. In attendance were several members of the IndyPy group including Six Feet Up's own Calvin
, and Kurt
. Six Feet Up employees enjoyed this opportunity to be introduced to new ideas and techniques useful in Python programming. This was Kurt and Jim's first time attending IndyPy. Read more about Jim's experience attending IndyPy
on the Six Feet Blog. In addition, Kurt won one of the two Python books that were door prizes, a nice incentive to come to IndyPy again.
Six Feet Up encourages anybody in the Central Indiana area interested in Python to come and attend future IndyPy Meetings. For more information, please contact Calvin Hendryx-Parker, the IndyPy Coordinator.
